Great to see some shredding on the xc hardtails!

@ redrook, I disagree with you. I have not seen any evidence to suggest that an MX helmets generate injuries of the kind you are suggesting. If you can send me some information on such research or discussions, I would be very keen to read. The understanding I have is that MX helmets are thicker due to them having more material to absorb the impact, thus them being designed to take larger blow. As I understand it, for an equivalent impact an MX helmet will transmit a lower peak deceleration to the brain than a bicycle helmet for that reason. Because the MX helmet has more material, it can spread the forces from the impact over a longer period.

Big helmets may not look cool, but concussions suck way worse. Good on him and the others for stepping up to an MX lid from a bicycle helmet. I've got an MX lid, and it is heavier than the Troy Lee it replaced, but the extra protection is well worth it.

To me, the first will always be the best. Vicious Cycle was waaaaaaaaay ahead of its time, and is still enjoyable to watch today.

Good luck trying to sell your fork from one of these bikes. And if you try to upgrade, guaranteed, no one will stock these sizes. Bike shops are already having issues on selling standard taper forks, which are pretty well out there. Imagine trying to sell a new fork that only works for giants.

Only 4 inches? Rock Shox and Kindshock both have excellent models available in 5 inches. I've got a Kindshock post, and love it. For that price, I would recommend others try the Kindshock. I also like how they omitted the new headset standard they are championing, after they got lampooned so harshly on Vital for it.

Yeah I got Bow to send the 66 back to Marz and they rebuilt it under warranty, came back much improved (new cart, and lowers), got even better when I realized that the compression was all the way in, now it's super plush

Hey Dude,
I kept the Reign, once I got the fork sorted, it rides like a dream, might pick up a set of wheels. The Pitch didn't see as much action last year as I would have liked, hopefully both bikes see more action this year.
